About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Desmond T Doss Health Clinic.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing and evaluating clinical and administrative healthcare operations by collecting, extracting, and interpreting data from multiple information systems to assess program effectiveness and develop performance metrics; conducting comprehensive management studies and organizational assessments to identify operational deficiencies and improve processes; and preparing detailed analytical reports and executive briefings to support leadership decision-making, enhance clinic productivity, and ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and policies.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Major Duties:

  • Serve as a Supervisory Health System Specialist, with responsibilities to analyze and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of programs and functions.
  • Develop and manage the Performance Improvement Review (PIR) metrics for a robust health clinic.
  • Provide command staff with qualitative and quantitative information from which the most cost-effective, efficient, and highest quality healthcare services can be implemented.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and advise on administrative activities relating to medical management programs.
  • Oversee the overall civilian human capital resources of the Medical Treatment Facility.
  • Exercise supervision over the daily activities of full-time staff of civilian employees assigned to assist in carrying out the functions of the division.
