You will serve as one of the Regional Time Advisors, supervising district timekeepers and providing guidance and oversight on time, payroll, and absence management matters. Requirements

As a Human Resource Analyst 1 in the field of time and attendance, you will work directly with field human resource officers and central office bureaus to provide policy interpretation on time rules, contractual entitlements, and absence management. You will conduct research and provide error resolution, specifically with DOT's Plant Maintenance Payroll process (ZIPY). Supervision is exercised over district timekeepers and guidance is provided on time and absence matters related to union contracts, bargaining unit rules, multiple shift and 24/7 operations, union side letters, temporary working out of class, and alternate work schedules.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time upon successful completion of the probationary period and at the discretion of the supervisor.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the Human Resource Management Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year as a Human Resource Assistant 2 or an Equal Opportunity Assistant (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of paraprofessional analytical experience and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
