The Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL) is seeking a highly motivated, skilled, solution-oriented, and enthusiastic professional to join our regulatory department and serve as a Management Analyst 3 for a new licensing database at DIAL.

DIAL is a multifaceted regulatory agency charged with protecting the health, safety, and well-being of Iowans, and is comprised of eight core operational divisions: Administrative Hearings, Building & Construction, Health & Safety, Investigations, Labor/OSHA, Licensing, Workers’ Compensation, and Administration.
The Database Analyst position reports to the Division Administrator of Professional Licensing and will serve to provide technical assistance to teams on database functionality, train and instruct teams on database testing and implementation, as well as, evaluate workflows to create efficiencies and standardization.
This position will be located at 6200 Park Avenue in Des Moines. What We’re Seeking

Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field, and experience equal to three years of full-time work in project management; management analysis; data science; business systems analysis; or professional-level program administration, development, or operations.All of the following (a and b):Three years of full-time work experience in project management; management analysis; data science; business systems analysis; or professional-level program administration, development, or operations; and A total of four years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.All of the following (a, b, and c):One year of full-time work experience in project management; management analysis; data science; business systems analysis; or professional-level program administration, development, or operations; andA total of four years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience; andA total of two years of graduate-level education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where twenty-four semester hours of accredited graduate college or university coursework in business administration, industrial management, statistics, natural science, or a closely-related field equals one year of full-time experience.
