Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing projects to repair, modernize, and test ships at a naval facility in Japan, focusing on controlling costs, ensuring quality, and coordinating timelines for non-nuclear ship systems.

A good fit would be someone with experience in project management, especially in shipbuilding or repair, who can handle budgets, resources, and team coordination in a high-stakes environment.

Note that medical and dental care is very limited in the location, so candidates should be prepared for overseas living.

You will serve as a WATERFRONT PROJECTS MANAGER ofNAVAL SHIP REPAIR FACILITY . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED.

Please see Additional Information section below.*** Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Directing the business efforts (cost control, quality oversight, milestone management, contract strategies and coordination/integration) of waterfront business and planning services to support the overhaul, repair, modernization, and testing of all non-nuclear ship systems.
