Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT OFFICE of FLEET READINESS CENTER NORTHWEST.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing financial management tasks (e.g.

budget formulation, cost estimates, problem solving, utilizing automated databases, interpreting policies and regulations) to support fiscal operations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • You will establish and manage the “reject” e-mail address and inbox, assign roles and permission levels to all travelers to access DTS, maintain appointment and acknowledgement letters for Accountable Officials (AO).
  • You will provide guidance for management’s consideration in developing policy regarding travel functions.
  • You will research, gather and compile varied information to formalize input to a myriad of command level or higher echelon reports, assessments, data calls, and reviews.
  • You will provide training and guidance to command staff on the purpose/use of applications.
  • You will accurately type correspondence, reports, evaluations, messages or similar materials from handwritten or electronic drafts using a word processor or electronic typewriter.
