Job Description

Summary

This job is for a waiter at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant on Fort Bliss military base in Texas, where you'll greet guests, take food and drink orders, serve meals, handle payments, and keep the dining area clean.

It's a hands-on role in a busy restaurant setting, ideal for someone with customer service experience who enjoys interacting with people and works well in a team.

A good fit would be a reliable individual who is at least the legal age to serve alcohol and has basic math and English communication skills.

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1.

Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment. 2.

Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change. 3. Be able to communicate effectively in English. 4. Have work experience performing the duties identified.

NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents.

A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application. Major Duties:

  • Set tables, arrange place settings/table decorations, receive guests, make dining suggestions, answer questions about food/wines/etc, take orders, place orders and receives Food, and Beverages with the kitchen, Bar when required.
  • Collects cash or payment by credit card and maintains sales record
  • May provide work direction to other dining room staff as necessary.
  • Clears and cleans tables and other customer service areas.
