Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-12. Expert-level knowledge in field.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading and overseeing all training programs at a naval shipyard, including planning, developing, and executing them to support shipyard operations.
You'll set policies for training management and advise on best practices during meetings and conferences.
It's a great fit for someone with strong leadership experience in training coordination, especially in technical or government settings like engineering or military environments.
You will serve as a SHIPYARD TRAINING AREA MANAGER in Code 2300T for the Head Nuclear Engineer (Code 2309) in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department Code 2300 of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience directing, coordinating and providing oversight of training planning, development and execution.
Experience balancing workload and resource talent for development of project teams. Experience recognizing technical requirements and operating objectives established by NAVSEA.
