The Loudoun County Office of Elections & Voter Registration manages all federal, state, and local elections for the voters of Loudoun County, and is dedicated to ensuring that all eligible voters have the right to cast their vote safely, securely, and efficiently. Requirements

The Loudoun County Office of Elections is seeking a Training Coordinator to join our Election Division. The Election Division is responsible for the recruitment, assignment, and training of approximately 1,500 election officers who serve at the county’s 107 election day precincts, 5 early voting sites, and the central absentee (mail) precinct.

The Training Coordinator plays a vital role in the Election Division by ensuring that everyone involved in the conduct of elections in Loudoun County is fully trained in their job duties and that all training programs comply with local, state and federal requirements. This position will be responsible for working with other members of the election team and office management to identify training needs and will develop and deliver training on all topics related to the conduct of elections in Loudoun County per Virginia code. Duties will include planning, organizing, and developing training programs to be presented via several platforms to include in-person, online live, through a learning management system (LMS), and via pre-recorded video. The Training Coordinator will ensure that all code requirements pertaining to training of election officials are met and will certify as such to the Virginia Department of Elections. Additionally, this position will assist with other office functions as needed and to maintain a working knowledge of all aspects of election administration.
The ideal candidate would possess a strong desire to serve the public, believe in the electoral process, be detail oriented and thorough, be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituencies verbally and in writing, and be able to function in a fast-paced environment.


Hiring salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business or related field and a minimum of two years of experience developing and presenting training across multiple platforms. Must be a registered voter in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Experience with learning management systems and creation of training videos preferred. Knowledge of Virginia and Federal election law preferred. Experience working in Elections or Voter Registration preferred.

Additional Information

Criminal background and credit checks will be conducted on the successful applicant. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to work overtime, to include nights and weekends, around elections.
