Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900
Typical requirements: Executive-level leadership experience. Senior executive qualifications required.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of electricians at a naval shipyard, overseeing electrical repairs, maintenance, and inspections to ensure high-quality work on time and within budget.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on experience as a skilled electrician who enjoys managing people, planning projects, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues in a fast-paced environment.
You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN SUPERVISOR I in the Electrical/Electronics Shop (Code 950) Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to Lead or Supervise Managing electrical work operations; conducting quality checks or inspections of electrical equipment or products to determine quality, condition, or overall appearance.
Leading trade journeymen in the performance of complex repairs and alterations; planning the use of workers, equipment, and facilities.
Determining method of repair, adjust, replace, and test through troubleshooting. Interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and local procedures.
Conducting quality checks or inspections of electrical equipment or products to determine quality, condition, or overall appearance.
Setting priorities and coordinate the availability of equipment for routine maintenance.
