This job involves managing safety programs for Pennsylvania's wildlife and waterways agencies, ensuring workplaces follow laws and best practices to prevent injuries.
You'll train staff, investigate incidents, and advise managers on safety policies while collaborating with other state teams.
It's a great fit for someone organized, passionate about outdoor conservation, and experienced in HR or safety who enjoys independent work with some teamwork.

As a Safety Coordinator, you will be maintaining the agency's safety program to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and standards; published directives; collective bargaining agreements; the Accident and Illness Prevention Program; the Personnel Rules; and past practices.
Work involves providing guidance and recommendations to all levels of management in the creation and formulation of policy and promotion of sound safety practices.
You will also be responsible for providing safety related communication and training to employees regarding the agency's safety policies, procedures, and contact information.
Within this role, you will have the opportunity to investigate workplace injuries or review investigations conducted by agency personnel to identify root causes and corrective actions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
