The Office of Administration, Human Resource Service Center (HRSC) Work Related Injury Services (WRIS) is a team of dedicated staff who are called upon when employees need support the most. We are looking for a customer focused, detail-oriented, and compassionate Human Resource Assistant 2 who is eager to start a new chapter in their career. Requirements

As an essential member of the Work-Related Injury Services (WRIS) team, you will be performing a variety of administrative and fiscal duties as well as supporting and managing certain aspects of the workers' compensation program. This position requires a thorough understanding of the Workers’ Compensation Act in order to confidently review claims, gather and analyze information, and ensure claims are processed in a timely manner and according to all relevant policies and procedures. Work also involves compiling monthly reports, adjusting information in SAP, and performing a variety of administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations within the office. Exceptional communications skills are essential as you will be resolving problems, answering questions, and addressing concerns regarding workers’ compensation claims and claims processing arising from inquiries from the claims administrator, the Comptroller Operations Office, agencies, and the Bureau of Commonwealth.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Currently in-office one day a month, but subject to change at any time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of clerical or other comparable experience and one year of beginning level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
