This job involves leading efforts to create and improve policies and programs that help people with intellectual disabilities or autism find and keep employment across Pennsylvania.

The Department of Human Services is seeking a dedicated Human Services Analyst to join the Bureau of Policy and Quality Management.

In this role, you will help develop and improve statewide policies, practices, and programs that support employment services for individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.

Requirements

In this position, you will act as the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) central office lead for employment, including coordinating statewide employment services and initiatives.

You will regularly review, assess, and analyze employment reports and data to support policy development and recommend improvements that promote consistency and quality in employment supports and services.

Responsibilities include developing and conducting training for internal and external stakeholders, as well as preparing written materials, data summaries, and visual content for reports and other documents.

In addition, you will provide policy clarification, updates, and guidance on employment-related topics to ODP staff and external partners.

Work is performed with a high level of initiative and independent decision-making.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
