Full Job Description

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBSA Fort Sam Houston Golf Course. This is a Flexible category position with guaranteed 00 hrs. per week.

Employees appointed to a Flexible category position are not eligible for benefits. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Qualifying Experience: Knowledge and experience of golf course operations.is desired. Experience providing customer service.

Major Duties:

Checks on upcoming programs and tournaments at Golf Club daily. Performs and/or assists other recreation aids in the operation as a golf cart attendant.

Cleans and maintains club storage throughout the day. Cleans and services golf carts and cart barn throughout the day. Cleans rental golf clubs.

Accounts for golf carts at the end of each business day and secures all buildings.

Routinely maintains the area around the Club House and parking lot, as well as emptying trash containers outside of Club house.

Operates motorized ball picker and retrieves range balls from the driving range. Hand picks range balls from trees, fairways and other areas throughout the day.

Restocks all sand and seed refill stations throughout the day. Fills and cleans all water coolers on the course to include restocking the cups throughout the day.

Sets up and cleans the driving range on a daily basis. Ensures tees and tee mats are replaced and in good condition. Cleans and sorts all range balls daily, discarding worn, cut or damaged balls.

Assists in setting up registration areas for golf tournaments as well as assisting the Food and Beverage Supervisor in arranging the room for special functions and events.

Opens and secures cart barns and equipment. Works with minimum supervision. Interacts well with customer and fellow employees. Tags carts needing repair. Performs other related duties as assigned.

May work an uncommon tour of duty, such as days, nights and weekends.
