Job Description

Summary

This job involves overseeing programs related to preventing harassment, violence, and suicide in the Navy, including developing policies, managing resources, and coordinating team efforts to meet strategic goals.

It also includes advising senior leaders and evaluating how well the organization is performing to support bigger management and congressional needs.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the ASN MANPOWER AND RESERVE AFFAIRS (ASN M&RA), DEPARTMENT OF NAVY of OFFICE OF FORCE RESILIENCY.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing resource oversight for harassment, violence and suicide prevention initiatives, policy development, research, and program implementation Experience developing strategic objectives to ensure efficient and timely coordination of a variety of staff actions Experience evaluating organizational effectiveness to support management initiatives and congressional engagement Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0300/management-and-program-analysis-series-0343/ Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

  • You will plan short and long-term objectives to ensure efficient and timely coordination of major staff actions and events.
  • You will support program leads in converting strategic goals into actionable and measurable programs, policies, and communication strategies.
  • You will plan work to be accomplished by work unit, set and adjust short-term priorities.
  • You will assign taskers and brief topics to staff members based on knowledge of program activities and key items of interest.
  • You will provide support and advise the senior leadership, as appropriate and necessary.
