This role involves coordinating strategies for naval aviation programs, analyzing plans and budgets to support Navy missions, and advising senior leaders on aircraft and weapons systems.
It requires deep knowledge of military operations and strong communication skills to evaluate trends, coordinate with experts, and ensure programs align with national security goals.
A good fit would be someone with extensive experience in defense planning and analysis, particularly in aviation or naval contexts, who enjoys strategic thinking and working in a high-level government environment.
You will serve as an AVIATION CAPABILITY STRATEGY COORDINATOR in the Air Warfare Division of IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying expert-level knowledge of Naval Aviation programs and platforms; Utilizing appropriate resources to analyze and develop mid- and long-range plans/projections for Naval aircraft and weapons systems (i.e.
long-range air wing mix scenarios, strategic aircraft/weapons affordability tradeoffs); Analyzing Command strategy implicit in the application of communication resources; developing, evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of communications plans and sub-plans and determining the need for adjustment; and assessing Navy program alignment with higher echelon goals, objectives, and messages; Understanding political-military strategy at the national security level, service, and theater level; And Advising senior Navy and DoD leadership through effective use of verbal, written, and presentation skills.
