This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.


This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,560 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.

$19.58 per hour, 24 hours per week, not to exceed 1,560 hours per year.

Job Description:
This position is a training and career development opportunity with a Water Production or Water Reclamation facility. This position will be located at one of Gwinnett County’s five water facilities located in either Buford, Lilburn or Norcross.

Essential Duties:(These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
  • Assisting operators with lab samples, testing, and analysis
  • Filing/Record keeping
  • Organizing Operations and Maintenance Manuals, and Water Production / Reclamation plant drawings
  • Light maintenance duties such as cleaning and painting
Preferred Work Schedule: 3-days per week, 8-hours per day (7:00am – 4:00pm)

The Grade for this position is 97.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license;
  • High School Diploma, or G.E.D.;
  • Must be available to work 24 hours per week; between Monday and Friday;
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn new software;
  • Basic math skills.
