Summary
This job involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and other motor equipment, such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems, under general supervision.

Key Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in automotive or motor equipment repair
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License
- Residency in the city of Boston
- OEM or ASE certification (may be required)
- EVT Level 1 & Level 2 certification (may be required)
- State Enhanced Safety Inspector's Certification (may be required)
- Ability to perform testing, overhaul, and adjustment work on motors, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
Full Job Description
Under general supervision, performs testing, repair and adjustment work on standard automotive and other motor equipment; and does related work as required.Requirements
Inspects automotive and other ordinary motor equipment to locate trouble and determine needed repairs. Overhauls motors, repairs transmissions, hydraulic systems, starters, carburetors and other parts and assemblies. May do greasing, battery and tire repair work as required.Qualifications
2 years of experience required in related work. OEM or ASE certification may be required. EVT Level 1 & Level 2 certification may be required. State Enhanced Safety Inspector's Certification may be required. Must have a valid Massachusetts Driver's License. Must be a resident of the city of Boston.Additional Information
