Full Job Description

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S.

Customs and Border Protection, Office of Training and Development, Field Operations Academy located in Glynco, GA.

Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assisting in implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a variety of training program activities.

Conducting studies, analyzing findings, and making recommendations on training programs. Reviewing and analyzing data from multiple sources to devise new and modified methods and procedures.

Preparing a variety of comprehensive status reports, summaries briefing papers and charts that identify problems, assess the overall conditions, and outline issues, solutions and recommendations.

Advising management on the efficiency of operations and effectiveness of the training programs.

In this Management and Program Analyst position, you will strengthen the Department's ability to protect the homeland by becoming a valuable member of a team of administrative professionals.

This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

Major duties include: Directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a wide variety of training and development or administrative programs.

Developing graphs, charts and advanced briefing documents as well as capturing and extracting data from SharePoint and other data sources and incorporating that information into databases to support program management and reporting functions.

Developing, implementing, and monitoring sophisticated management information systems that focus on long- and short-range plans, policies and programs in the direction of goals, objectives and priorities established by statutes, executive orders, the Department, the Commissioner and/or executive management.

Designing graphs, charts and briefing documents and administers planning and controls for submission of data, including forming the basis of budget and program resource requests and decisions.

Planning, developing and coordinating planning management through briefings, presentations and conferences for executive management.
