Job Description

Summary

This job involves improving how the Navy maintains and supports its aircraft systems over their full lifespan, focusing on making logistics more efficient and cost-effective.

You'll plan strategies, analyze tools, and work with teams to solve sustainment challenges.

It's a good fit for someone with experience in logistics or supply chain management who enjoys using technology to streamline processes and has a background in government or defense projects.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at NH-03 level or equivalent, including support for sustainment or product support and knowledge of systemic issues
  • Experience designing innovative solutions to improve logistics processes
  • Proficiency with computer technology, including Microsoft 365, and ability to learn low-code/no-code platforms for automation and data integration
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition and life-cycle management policies to support readiness, affordability, and mission effectiveness
  • Skills in budget planning, execution, forecasting funding, and assessing cost impacts
  • Ability to analyze logistics management tools and data sets, and propose efficiency strategies
  • Experience coordinating with program offices, engineering, contracting, and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues

Full Job Description

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Product Support / Sustainment PSMI Optimization Division of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience supporting sustainment or product support and knowledge of systemic sustainment issues; 2) Experience with designing innovative solutions that improve logistics processes; 3) Experience with computer technology including Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn the low-code/no-code platform to automate processes and integrate data and enhance productivity.
