Summary

This job involves overseeing the logistics for naval aircraft and weapons systems throughout their entire lifecycle, from planning and budgeting to ensuring everything runs smoothly and stays ready for use.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DS-05) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all the following: 1) Managing all Integrated Logistics Support Elements across the total life cycle of a system or weapons system; 2) Managing junior logistics professionals; 3) Identifying deficiencies and creating mitigation steps to ensure weapon system readiness; 4) Planning, defending and executing logistics financial requirements; and 5) Demonstrating experience with technical directives delivered to the customer.

  • You will be responsible for acquisition planning and execution including schedule, technical, and fiscal management.
  • You will manage and direct the efforts of all logistics personnel providing life cycle product support management to the weapon system.
  • You will coordinate efforts to improve aircraft readiness and overall aircraft material condition.
  • You will exercise management control and direction over the planning, implementation, and execution of modification programs and maintenance programs.
  • You will prepare and present convincing oral and written presentations to any level of Government and industry management to justify product support and Life Cycle Sustainment strategies.
