Full Job Description

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the AVIATIONS OPERATION DEPARTMENT of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading and supporting teams to develop and sustain supply solutions that help the command meet its goals; 2) Helping across roles/aspects of the supply chain and throughout the weapon system life cycle; 3) Assisting planners, Integrated Weapon Support teams (IWST), and department level efforts to drive supply chain solutions; 4) Supporting leadership in interpreting policies and guidance and developing department and directorate-level strategies.

  • You will collaborate on integrated solutions and have a comprehensive understanding of new and innovative supply theories to adapt and drive innovation supporting command initiatives.
  • You will assist on related disciplines, including provisioning, allowance development, configuration management, requirements determination, repairable management, postproduction support, budgetary planning, and program support management.
  • You will partake in key decision-making and policy development in difficult assignments, including leading or participating as a technical expert in interagency study groups to resolve problems in existing supply systems and programs.
  • You will serve as the Senior Operations Specialist and encompass all areas of work within an Integrated Weapon Support Team with three centralized areas: order fulfillment, life cycle management, and data analytics.
