Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Comptroller Department ofCOMMANDER NAVY REGION EUROPE .

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Department of Defense and/or Department of the Navy financial management regulations to act as the liaison for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization.

2) Performing continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.

3) Providing interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution to coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization 4) Preparing/reviewing responses to reviews or audits; (e.g., which involve financial management policy and procedure) to evaluate issues of financial consequence and recommend alternatives for corrective action.

  • You will oversee Installation Accountable Property Officers and Custodians.
  • You will use the Defense Property Accountability System to manage and update assets, initiate and view reports, and initiate inquiries.
  • You will ensure compliance with DoD, Navy and Command directives for all lifecycle stages (acquisition, catalog, receipt, management, and disposition) of assets.
  • You will utilize an integrated system of budget and accounting functions to ensure internal control of accounting records.
  • You will prepare, review and reconcile financial statements and financial reports to meet reporting requirements and to support management decisions.
  • You will analyze, evaluate and review budget and program issues and financial data and report using business tools and applications, cost and economic analysis, and performance metrics to provide recommendations.
