is among the possible duty locations for this position. The Washington, D.C. office is anticipated to relocate to Alexandria, Virginia. Applicants selected for the Washington, D.C.
duty location may be required to report to the Washington, D.C. office upon entry on duty and subsequently transition to reporting to the Alexandria, Virginia location.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Supervising or leading a team working on administering the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program at the federal, state, or local government level; AND - Interpreting regulations, notices, policies, guidance or instructions that implement statutory requirements grant programs; AND - Collaborating with senior leaders and other disaster recovery roles to establish and promote program goals and objectives.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.

As a/an Deputy Division Director-ODR Grants Management Division, you will: Serve as a delegated authority in allocating and controlling efficient use of division resources (e.g.
funds, personnel, property, etc.). Oversee cost analysis of current or projected administration funds (e.g. travel and training funds).
Provide leadership to resolve complex programmatic issues that affect CDBG-DR grantees on a nationwide basis.
Communicate with grantees on a state, county, and city level to ensure that grantees are fully informed, trained, and operating efficiently.
Direct a team of staff and supervisors responsible for interpreting CDBG-DR requirements, providing guidance to state and local grantees, and monitoring performance of grantees.
