Full Job Description

This is a great time to be with the County of Santa Barbara and serve as the Deputy Director of Water Resource Division and Flood Control.

This position is under general direction of the Public Works Director, plans, organizes, directs, and administers the programs, operations, and staff of the Water Resources Division.

This division includes Flood Control District, Water Agency, and Project Clean Water.

The Assistant Director coordinates departmental policy, regulatory compliance, infrastructure planning, environmental programs, environmental programs, maintenance program, fire, storm, flood response and fiscal administration; represents the Department before the Board of Supervisors, regulatory agencies, partner jurisdictions, and the public; acts for the Director as assigned; and performs related duties as required.
