Full Job Description

You will serve as an ASSISTANT in the Corporate Operations Department (10), Human Resources Division (101), Staffing and Classification Branch (1013) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NG-02 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-05 and GS-06.

NG-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-07 and GS-08.

FOR NG-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NG-02 (GS-05/06 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing Human Resources assistant work (e.g.

applying Human Resource procedures, assisting with personnel actions, coordinating pre-employment activities) in support of an organization's personnel programs.

FOR NG-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NG-01 (GS-01/04 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing clerical functions in support of Human Resources for an organization.

  • You will utilize references such as Office of Personnel Management, Demonstration Project guidance, Guide to Personnel Actions, Code of Federal Regulations to ensure personnel actions are in compliance with law, rule, and regulation.
  • You will work with various customers to ensure actions are completed in a timely manner.
