QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1.
Ability to interpret and apply specific procedural guides such as instructions, manuals, established policies and procedures for assigned tasks such as filing, distributing mail, or ordering supplies, which are directly applicable to the work.
2. Have a strong command of the English language to include written and oral skills. 3. Working experience in operating Microsoft Programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Knowledge of SharePoint is desirable. 4. Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, tact, and problem-solving abilities, a team player and actively looking for a way to help people. 5.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in handling multi-task assignments and prioritizing work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. This activity is a Drug-free workplace.

NONAPPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant FLSA: Non-exempt JOB SERIES: 0303 PAY LEVEL: NF-02 INTRODUCTION: This position is located in the Community Services Coordination (CSC) Branch, Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Division, Marine Corps Base, Camp S.
D. Butler, Okinawa. The incumbent performs a variety of administrative and technical tasks to support the work of MCCS Community Services Coordinator and CSC office operation and functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Provides general office management support.
Opens and closes for business, schedules and coordinates appointments, assists and greets customers, responds independently to nontechnical questions and requests, acts as the central source of information regarding camp specific MCCS, refers inquirers to proper channels, maintains CSC files, mail, and directives, submits maintenance work requests, and occasionally issues temporary office keys.
Coordinates Camp/Unit support requests with various MCCS departments following proper procedures in accordance with Directives.
Prepares and organizes a wide variety of materials such as recurring reports, drafts, letters, narrative studies, briefing charts and slide presentations.
Assists in typing correspondence ensuring correct grammar, format and arrangement of supplementary material.
Receives from the supervisor a variety of formal and informal correspondence related to the activity and is responsible for the completion and correctness of this correspondence.
Conducts MCCS facility visits to gather information from facility managers and/or staff as requested by the supervisor.
Takes minutes of Board Meetings and is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of correspondence files, manuals, instructions, directives, records, etc. as required.
Prepares and enters purchase requests for office supplies in AXS-one and submit for supervisor¿s approval. Maintains the overall appearance and cleanliness of the office.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.
Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly.
Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures.
Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
