Licensing and Regulatory Affairs - LARA
This job involves acting as a judge in administrative hearings for government regulations, mainly handling cases from the Department of Health and Human Services, where you listen to evidence, make decisions based on facts and law, and write up rulings.
It's a limited-term role in Michigan's Licensing and Regulatory Affairs department.
A good fit would be a licensed attorney with some experience in legal work, strong writing skills, and an interest in regulatory and public service matters.

Experience

Administrative Law Examiner 14One year of professional experience in legal work equivalent to an Administrative Law Examiner 13 or Administrative Law Specialist 13, or one year of experience as an attorney.
Two years of professional experience in legal work, including one year equivalent to an Administrative Law Examiner 14 or Administrative Law Specialist 14, or two years of experience as an attorney.
Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar.
