Requirements
As Administrative Assistant 1, you will report to the Transportation Director, performing assigned duties independently with minimal supervision.
Work includes tracking and reporting due dates for staff evaluations, driver certifications, physical exams, trainings, and substance abuse testing.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate electronic and hard-copy files in addition to maintaining inventories and records for vehicles, equipment, IT devices, and other fixed assets.
You can expect to coordinate and record approval of invoices for services, maintenance, and equipment.
It is essential to maintain a solid working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and program regulations and recommend policy, procedure, and equipment updates to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Additional duties to include:
- Assisting the Transportation Director with oversight of EVS eligibility verification and IVR system implementation
- Implementing and monitoring the Wayne County Transportation System No-Show and Cancellation Policy; working with consumers and counselors to reduce no-shows and cancellations
- Providing first-level confidential response to consumer and driver complaints
- Responding to routine inquiries
- Assisting with phone coverage and dispatching as needed
- Attending required trainings and performing other related duties as assigned
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Employee may have overnight travel or out of county travel for meetings or trainings.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
