Full Job Description

You will serve as a Department Management Specialist in the Corporate Operations Department of NSWC PHILA DIV. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project.

The NT-3 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-09 and GS-10. The NT-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12.

For the NT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-02 (GS-05 through GS-08 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the public or private sector providing administrative support to programs to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.

For the NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-03 (GS-9/10 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the public or private sector analyzing programs to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.

  • You will be responsible for providing the full range of administrative management and financial management functions that support the accomplishment of the Department's assigned mission.
  • You will develop work operations, new/modified work methods, management processes, and administrative procedures for program operations.
  • You will serve as an advisor to management in evaluating the effectiveness, productivity and efficiency of the Department's programs and administrative operations/functions.
  • You will accomplish office operations and management, coordinate administrative policies and procedures, and provide direction on the implementation of administrative and clerical work for correspondence, timekeeping, and records management.
  • You will coordinate with functional areas to investigate problems, gather, compile and evaluate facts to make conclusions and recommendations to program and administrative operations concerning organization's program.
