Requirements

As a member of our team, you will enhance the mobility of our consumers by providing professional and accessible transportation in a safe, reliable, comfortable, and courteous manner.

This includes operating county vehicle an average of 150 miles each day.

We will rely on you to independently provide transportation service as well as social contact for our senior adults, wheelchair-dependent persons, and other members of our community who need accessible transportation assistance.

Success in this role involves:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Part-time employment, 14-21+ hours per week
• Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.

Condition of Employment:

• No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
  • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
