Full Job Description

You will serve as a Training Specialist in the Training Directorate of CENTER FOR SECURITY FORCES.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Solving training problems, analyzing and evaluating data, developing alternatives and recommending actions to resolve training program deficiencies.

2) Evaluating assigned programs for overall training effectiveness, including standardization of training, adherence to approved curricula and methods, training safety and instructor documentation/technique and effectiveness.

3) Conducting professional weapons operation and employment, weapons training and demonstrated past performance in applying weapons expertise to evaluation of training programs, practices and safety.

4) Leading or participating in cross-functional team's/staff projects involving Fleet training initiatives, changes in requirements, and implementation of training policies.

5) Performing services, developing products, and taking actions that are technically sound and valid.

Providing technical weapons expertise and applying guidance and judgment to tactics, techniques, and operating procedures for training policy, and broader wide weapons policy and doctrine.

6) Applying directives and programs related to force protection/security force training and weapons training and qualifications.

  • You will lead or assists in the conduct of site assessments/inspections and visits to all Learning Activities within the Center domain.
  • You will evaluate assigned programs for overall training effectiveness, including standardization of training, adherence to approved curricula and methods, training safety and instructor documentation/technique and effectiveness.
  • You will review resource requirements involving facilities, manpower, funding, and logistic support with Learning Site/Training Activity personnel and Center staff to identify and resolve potential issues/problems.
  • You will analyze and evaluate data, develops alternatives and recommends actions to resolve program deficiencies.
  • You will provide issue papers and reports for CENSECFOR regarding findings and issues raised at Learning Site/Training Activities.
  • You will develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and written guidance for Learning Activities involving site assessments/special interest criteria.
