Job Description

Summary

This job involves working as a technician to troubleshoot and fix issues with specialized equipment on U.S. Navy ships and shore bases, focusing on the Littoral Combat Ship's mission modules.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Littoral Combat Ship Mission Modules of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03/GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience investigating, analyzing, evaluating, and finding resolution of operational deficiencies caused by malfunctions or casualties in assigned equipment in any life-cycle stage, on ships and shore facilities.

  • You will provide technical services involved with the execution of work assignments pertaining to significant tasks within complex project-oriented in-service technical support services on U.S. and allied ships and/or shore facilities.
  • You will provide services such as problem identification and resolution, instruction in performance of maintenance/installation procedures, or providing technical information/advice relative to the specific equipment.
  • You will evaluate problems and provide solutions to the fleet to include reviewing problems reported in messages, CASREPs, Feedback Reports or DCAPs and developing solutions and evaluating the corrective action to the reported problems.
  • You will serve as maintenance lead supporting Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mission Module sustainment, providing vital oversight and facilitating both preventive and corrective maintenance for LCS Mission Module systems.
