Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-11. Advanced degree + significant experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team to manage and maintain advanced communication and visual information systems for the Navy, including testing new tech, creating policies, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
It also requires supervising staff, building partnerships, and acting as the go-to expert for communication needs.
A good fit would be someone with experience in IT operations, graphic design, and team leadership who enjoys working in a high-stakes military environment in Hawaii.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:. Examples of specialized experience: 1.
Manage the availability and operation of visual information equipment, supplies, and systems to ensure material readiness and operational performance. 2.
Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information; organizes and maintains information or information management systems.
Determines its importance and accuracy and communicates it using creative graphic design principles and presenting it using a variety of methods. 3.
Applies graphic design principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing projects and resources, including technical performance. 4.
Creatively present subject matter information in visual form in order to convey intended message to, or have the desired effect on, the intended audience. 5.
Develops networks and builds alliances; collaborates across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals.
Provide visual information counsel to internal and external entities as required to guide interactions between communicators and audiences.
Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled.
This knowledge is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant analyzed a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of ADP system design, such as what system interrelationships must be considered, or what operating mode, system software, and/or equipment configuration is most appropriate for a given project.
