Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team of IT specialists in managing computer systems, networks, and servers while providing customer support and handling IT projects in a defense agency setting in Hawaii.

It requires hands-on troubleshooting of technical problems and ensuring everything runs smoothly and securely.

You will serve as a LEAD IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/CUSTSPT) of DDHBAP ASIA PACIFIC CENTER FOR SECURITY STUDIES This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number:ST-12893565-26-DGK.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing and maintaining IT systems, networks, and servers to ensure optimal performance and security; 2) Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems; 3) Assisting in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of IT projects; an/or 4) Monitoring system performance and generating reports to identify trends and areas for improvement Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

  • You will utilize Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Framework to administer projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling and closing process phases.
