Key Requirements

Full Job Description

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service.

It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.

It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-CENTRAL COMMAND (CS1).

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Managing personnel functions to include recruitment and training OR experience budgeting and execution process to include budget estimate submission.

All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Major Duties:

  • Serves as the Chief, Business Operations Division tasked to manage business and administrative functions within the organization and as a supervisor.
  • Provides leadership, motivation, direction and guidance to members of the Security, Personnel and Resource Management, and Business Management Teams.
  • Provides Management Direction across the full spectrum for resource management, acquisition, facilities, property programs, military and civilian personnel. Acquisition and Contracting oversight.
  • Oversees and manages DISA Central financial planning, programming, budgeting and execution process to include development of Program Objective Memorandum (POM), execution of spend plans and development of Unfunded Requirements (UFR) requests.
  • Oversees employee activities to ensure effective oversight. Encourages and supports the recruitment, development, and retention of a highly qualified workforce and the development of an efficient and economical position structure.
  • Serves as approving official for the Government purchase card. Ensures the cardholder utilizes the GPC for legitimate or bona fide needs.
  • Designates the GPC cardholder, spending limits, and authorized purchases; assists the cardholder in resolving payment disputes.
  • Oversees the certification of monthly statements and accuracy payments (i.e., proper funding and accounting citation).
