Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team in a Navy IT division focused on cybersecurity, where you'll handle strategic planning, improve processes, manage budgets and staff, and solve complex management problems.
It's a supervisory role that requires guiding others on technical and administrative issues while communicating effectively with high-level stakeholders.

You will serve as a SUPV IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBER ENGINEERING & INTEGRATION DIVISION, CODE 58400 ofNAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1.
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Responsible for Division strategic planning and organizational/process improvement, workforce planning and management of the division's funding allocation.

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Develops and implements strategies to foster teamwork, innovation, and ensure delivery of high quality products, as well as develop new business opportunities and maintains relationships with customers.

Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The selectee will be expected to host Customer, Sponsor and other Flag and SES level visitors and provide briefs and presentations on organizational capabilities and skills.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyzes problems of management and provides advice regarding alternative solutions to these problems.
Provides advice and insight about probably effects of alternative solutions to these problems.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band NM-03 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Leading division strategic planning and organizational/process improvement, workforce planning and management of the division's funding allocation.
