Summary

This job involves leading and overseeing housing programs for Navy installations, including creating policies, managing budgets and resources, and guiding teams of employees and contractors to ensure effective operations.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the Fleet and Family Readiness Programs of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing new policies, procedures, guidance, and/or directives to support or supplement existing policies for shore installations; 2) Overseeing the direction, management, productivity, and cost effectiveness of program operations; 3) Applying a wide variety of analytical methods and techniques to forecast multi-year program requirements and to allocate and purchase resources; 4) Managing a program and providing leadership and mentoring to subordinate civilian employees, military employees, and contractor employees.

  • You will serve as senior professional and technical advisor to the CNIC N9 on all program policy matters, supporting policy reviews for subordinate commands; as related to, Housing Programs, within Quality of Life.
  • You will approve short- and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for the Housing program.
  • You will represent the Housing program in various business management governance forums, such as position management boards, financial execution reviews, future year defense planning, awards boards, contract review boards, and others, as required.
  • You will advise and counsel employees on work and administrative matters within the assigned Area of Responsibility.
  • You will plan, organize, direct, and conduct program conferences, symposiums, workshops, and meetings; as it relates to, the Housing programs within Quality of Life.
