Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team in the admissions department at the Naval Academy, where you'll plan and run recruiting events, visit schools, and help attract top students through the entire admissions process.
It's a supervisory role focused on building relationships with schools, managing communications with applicants, and analyzing event success to meet enrollment goals.
A good fit would be someone with experience in higher education admissions, strong organizational skills, and the ability to speak publicly and handle budgets.
You will serve as a Supervisory Educational Specialist in the Admissions Department of NAVAL ACADEMY.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the federal service.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience working in an Admissions Department in an institution of higher education, working through every phase of the admissions cycle (providing application advice, customer service, records preparation, travel planning, school visits, admissions event participation, and public speaking); 2) Experience planning events, to include: maintaining budgets, coordinating venue selection, ensuring the proper shipment of promotional materials; 3) technical skills, including the ability to learn and use Salesforce or other Admissions related software as needed; 4) organizing, planning, prioritizing, scheduling executing specialized field recruiting programs Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Major Duties:
