Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team in a naval engineering branch focused on managing the full lifecycle of aircraft launch and recovery equipment, from planning and development to ongoing support, while ensuring projects stay on budget and on time.
A good fit would be someone with leadership experience in technical teams, strong skills in resource planning and problem-solving, and a background in defense or engineering projects who enjoys mentoring staff and driving program success.
You will serve as a Branch Head in the ADMACS Systems Engineering/Configuration Management/Logistics Branch (BL13300) in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division of Lakehurst, Ocean County, New Jersey.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03/ (GS-9-12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Leading a multi-discipline team responsible for the planning and execution of comprehensive life cycle acquisition/sustainment efforts to deliver Aircraft Launch & Recovery Equipment solutions within program objectives for cost, schedule and performance.
2) Performing team lead or management functions to plan and execute the allocation of resources, development of personnel, direction of technical work, and evaluation of performance.
3) Managing priorities and developing tactical resource plans to facilitate project execution for the technical portfolio.
4) Providing assistance in solving particularly complex problems which are problems beyond their experience, or may impact funding, scheduling or other programs and organizations priorities.
5) Ensuring guidance, processes, and tools are in place and utilized to enable personnel to effectively execute assigned work.
6) Developing competencies of personnel to effectively contribute to and meet organizational and program objectives.
