This job involves leading a team to manage cybersecurity for the Navy's Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia, focusing on protecting computer systems and networks from threats through planning, implementation, and oversight.
A good fit would be someone with strong experience in IT security who enjoys solving complex problems, advising leaders, and ensuring compliance with safety standards in a government setting.
You will serve as Manager of the Cybersecurity Branch (Code 1043), Information Technology Division (Code 104), Corporate Operations Department (Department 10), of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWC PHILA DIV).
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-6 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 pay band (GS-13/14 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administering an Information Technology program to ensure security policies, procedures, or measures are implemented to safeguard information systems or networks.
Examples of qualifying experience may include: Analyzing, assessing, and documenting cyber security/information assurance capabilities and services.
Ensuring compliance with cyber security/information assurance requirements. Resolving vulnerabilities in information technology systems.
Ensuring networks are certified and accredited for information security. Providing authoritative advice or guidance on a wide variety of cyber security/information assurance issues.
