Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Information Technology Division (C/104), Operations Department (C/10) of Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWC PHILA DIV).

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-6 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 pay band (GS-13/14 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing an Information Technology program to ensure security policies, procedures, or measures are implemented to safeguard information systems or networks of an organization's information technology infrastructure.

Examples of qualifying experience may include administration of enterprise network and information technology environments to ensure that security policies, technical controls, and protective measures are fully implemented across an organization's network infrastructure.

Experience should reflect responsibility for safeguarding networked systems, enforcing security standards, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT resources.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

  • You will serve as the Deputy IT Division Head, supporting and leading collaborative efforts across three cyber competencies - Information Management, IT Networks and Cybersecurity programs on behalf of the command.
  • You will be responsible for supporting the implementation and administration of the IT Programs across the Code 104 IT Division.
  • You will implement IT policy and guidance for infrastructure components of the information enterprise, including networks, compute, and software.
  • You will provide direct initiatives driving digital modernization: Providing oversight and expertise for enterprise infrastructure initiatives aimed at digital modernization.
  • You will oversee the execution of strategic initiatives, and ensures resources are allocated efficiently and appropriately.
  • You will manage IT procurements, budgetary items and oversee IT service contracts to meet customer and service delivery requirements.
