Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team of engineers in developing and managing advanced missile and weapon systems for the U.S.

Navy, focusing on design, testing, and ensuring reliability throughout the system's lifecycle.

A good fit would be an experienced engineer with a background in aerospace or missiles who enjoys supervising teams and tackling complex technical challenges in a defense setting.

  • You will lead in defining performance and reliability requirements for the weapon system's various flight systems.
  • You will oversee the design, development, and testing of flight system components to meet all performance and schedule requirements.
  • You will manage the hardware design for the full life of missile components, monitoring the performance and reliability of deployed systems.
  • You will lead special programs requiring expert knowledge of weapon systems, including developing new concepts and supporting Department of Defense test programs.
  • You will directly supervise a staff of engineers, handling work assignments, performance evaluations, hiring, and professional development.
