Full Job Description

This vacancy is for a GS-132-14, Supervisory Intelligence Operations Specialist (Counterintelligence Agent), located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United State Coast Guard (USCG), Assistant Commandant for Intelligence (CG-2), Coast Guard Counterintelligence Service (CGCIS),National Capital Region (NCR), Washington, DC.

To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

Specialized experience must include the following: Knowledge of CI/HUMIT policies and procedures.

Knowledge of the authorities and activities of an organization and its relation to the National Intelligence Community. Knowledge and understanding of disclosure and security guidelines.

Planning, implementing and maintaining databases required to process all-source material to produce intelligence.

Identifying intelligence gaps, proposing collection requirements to fill gaps, and developing and methodologies to cope with the gaps.

Liaising with external stakeholders to appropriately address their requests for information and ensure that their requirements are met.

NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Major Duties:

You will serve as the Supervisory Agent in Charge for CGCIS NCR and you will be responsible for the coordination, management, and execution of all CI and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) activities for the USCG in the NCR, including geographically separated team members Coordinates those associated activities with internal and external partners.

Typical work assignments include: Defining implementing CI and HUMINT requirements supporting USCG elements in the NCR and broader domain.

Serving as a principal advisor to the Assistant Commandant for Intelligence and other key decision-makers on all AOR-specific CI issues and developments.

Providing comprehensive counterintelligence (CI) support within the National Capital Region (NCR) and beyond as directed by the CGCIS Chief of Operations . Overseeing and integrating the U.S.

Coast Guard Intelligence Service (CGCIS) human intelligence (HUMINT) operations.
