Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Examples of specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Analyzing national level programs and/or exceptionally large and complete programs.; 2.

Recommending and implementing interpretive and analytical advice on budgetary/financial policies, financial transactions, and program execution.; 3.

Ensuring the financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of supporting managerial accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports.; 4.

Reviewing and preparing responses to financial management policy and procedure audits.; 5. Providing technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction to supervised employees.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization.
  • You will develop and render authoritative interpretations of executive orders, guidance within and across agency lines, and Departmental guidance.
  • You will define objectives, interpret policy promulgated by senior authorities, and determine their effect on program needs.
  • You will ensure the financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of supporting managerial accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports.
  • You will direct and perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.
  • You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
  • You will isolate and define unknown conditions, resolve critical problems, and develop new theories concerning budget, accounting, and financial management programs.
