About the Position: This position supports the Defense Health Network 9 office at Falls Church, VA.

The incumbent directs the policy, procedures, and systems for clinical operations, clinical integration, and total Clinical Quality Management within military medical treatment facilities in accordance with the Defense Health Agency's (DHA) priorities.

A Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality Certification is highly desired but not required.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: directing clinical quality program of a medical facility, developing processes to ensure compliance with governing regulations and ensuring compliance with Clinical Quality Management programs such as patient safety, healthcare risk management, credentials and privileging, accreditation and compliance, clinical measures, and clinical quality improvement.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Major Duties:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within the Network to synergize operational strategy for aligned Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs).
  • Determine resource need and/or allocations to uphold medical delivery standards.
  • Implement Clinical Quality Management (CQM) programs to comply with regulatory guidance or agency policies.
  • Ensure patient privacy standards in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage organizational changes thorough the Network directed, or major change to the content of the programs directed.
  • Develop policies to implement regulatory changes to the medical facility operations.
  • Ensure program goals and developed plans for the Network independently of or jointly with higher management are implemented.
