Full Job Description

This position is located in the Senior Administrative Office (SAO), Office of the Director of Administration and Management (ODA&M).

The Director of Administration and Management (DA&M) is the Principal Staff Assistant (PSA) to the Secretary of War (SW) and Deputy Secretary of War (DSW) for organizational and management matters within the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW).

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Advises and assists the SAO on the management and direction of the ODA&M resource management program objectives based on ODA&M's mission and strategic priorities.

Directs a full range of resources and personnel programs and functions to include: planning, programming, budgeting and execution, finance and accounting, manpower management, and civilian and military personnel management.

Interprets Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), OMB, and Congressional budget guidance; ensures estimates comply with statutory and policy requirements.

Delegates assignments to support program/budget reviews, reconciles workload conflicts, and develops workforce training plans.

Exercises significant interface with key influential personnel within OSW, DoW, and other external organizations for the execution, promotion, justification and defense of resource (funding and manpower) levels.
