This job involves leading teams to oversee the construction, contracts, and management of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget while coordinating with contractors and other departments.
It's a supervisory role focused on preventing delays and handling large-scale funding for shipbuilding efforts.
A good fit would be someone with extensive experience in ship construction management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to handle complex technical and financial aspects of major naval projects.
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY BUSINESS & INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) in the WATERFRONT OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of SUPSHIP.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing construction and material of nuclear powered ships involved in major ship acquisition, construction, conversion and deployment efforts.
