Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading teams in managing naval facilities on Guam, including planning, engineering projects, construction oversight, and environmental services for military installations.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing oversight, review, coordination, and execution of facilities management, planning, engineering, acquisition, construction, base operation support, and environmental products and services; assigning work based on priorities and identifying training needs and requirements; tracking execution to ensure delivery of products and services within schedule and cost constraints; and performing independent strategic thinking to generate organizational and command objectives.

  • You will serve as an advisor to Command leadership for the purpose of participating in strategic planning, resourcing, and management.
  • You will provide all facility support and environmental services for the Area of Operations (AO) via Public Works Department (PWD), Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Divisions (FEAD) for Marine Corps Installations
  • You will serve as the Operations Officer (OPS) when the OPS officer is absent.
  • You will be accountable for the effective and efficient leadership of personnel and the effective and efficient management of all operations of the Facilities Engineering Command (FEC) including interface, project delivery, and process management.
  • You will serve as the command expert for (FEC) Operational matters and responsible for oversight, review, coordination and execution of facilities management, planning, engineering, acquisition, construction, and base operation support.
  • You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, considering the difficulty and requirements of assignments, type of work, existing workload, and the capabilities of the employees.
  • You will provide the staff with state-of-the-art advanced management techniques and information that will enable them to achieve and maintain effective, efficient management of the organizational goals and objectives.
  • You will Identify actual and potential problems and initiate or direct corrective action
