Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team in a naval academy's multimedia center, where you'll manage audiovisual projects for teaching and events, handle equipment and budgets, and ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Audiovisual Production Specialist in the Multimedia Support Center of NAVAL ACADEMY.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the all of the following: 1) experience providing audiovisual engineering and technology support in an academic setting, including inventory control and software management; 2) experience allocating resources (personnel, hardware, software) for multimedia projects across academic departments, and managing related acquisitions and budgets; 3) experience coordinating multi-faceted audiovisual projects with faculty, staff, and students; AND 4) Videography experience in an academic setting including: post-production editing; experience producing switched multi-camera live-streaming broadcasts; and using blue UAS drone technology for video- and still- image capture.

  • You will be responsible for assigning work to all subordinate employees within the Multimedia Support Center (MSC).
  • You will be responsible for maintaining the MSC work request database and for serving as the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) point of contact on issues relating to computer networking and maintenance for equipment in MSC custody.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all project phases, from initiation through delivery, which includes ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • You will be responsible for efficiently allocating resources across the multimedia project, ensuring that the right personnel, tools, and technologies are in place to achieve project goals.
