Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISOR TOMAHAWK CRUISE MISSILE PLANNING ANALYST In the TARGETING and GEO-POSITIONING DIVISION (N31) of the CRUISE MISSILE SUPPORT ACTIVITY ATLANTIC.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and possess comprehensive knowledge of weaponeering, target development, target validation, collateral damage estimation methodologies, imagery collection management capabilities, imagery distribution architecture, and geopositioning processes and equipment.

Experience and possess comprehensive knowledge of current and future designs of Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) Architecture related to navigation and geospatial data processes associated with TLAM and HSW planning necessary to analyze and integrate current and evolving GEOINT and Multi-Int technologies and solutions.

Experience and possess technical knowledge of standalone and enterprise navigation, imagery, and geospatial data systems, and understanding of complex data technologies and related computer architectures supporting TLAM and HSW mission planning sufficient to meet or exceed command mission planning production goals, as well as to mitigate external systems and services support upgrades and outages.

Experience and possess comprehensive knowledge sufficient to serve as the principal authority and technical expert regarding plans, programs, and policies as they relate to Navigation, Imagery, and Geospatial Requirements and Planning; navigation data, geospatial, and multi-intelligence support data and acquisition systems matters; and emerging geospatial technologies directly supporting TLAM and HSW mission planning.

Experience identifying emergent or evolving operational requirements, to evaluate and validate varied data sources, and to coordinate the evaluation and selection of data management tools.

The work has significant impact upon the execution of national Geospatial Imagery processing, storage, and dissemination policy.

  • You will perform a full range of supervisory responsibilities for a subordinate staff consisting of eight targeteers and weaponeers that are certified geopositioners.
  • You will develop goals and align objectives with organizational priorities, continuously reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and mission objectives to remove obstacles and improve overall effectiveness.
  • You will provide guidance and advice on policies, monitor efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance, drive improvements and ensure smooth workflow and resource utilization using established metrics and analysis systems.
  • You will oversee all personnel functions within the division, including selection, performance management, training, discipline, ensure compliance with security directives, safety regulations, and performance standards.
  • You will handle complex issues such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and award recommendations, ensuring documentation is complete and standards are upheld.
  • You will be the lead analyst for Advanced Tomahawk Cruise Missile (TLAM) and Hypersonic Weapons (HSW) targeting, navigation products, weaponeering, and geo-positioning products.
  • You will manage the production and development of these operational products, enabling N31 analysts to perform detailed target analysis, select precise aimpoints, calculate weapon effects, and create navigation tools.
  • You will provide expert advice on integrating current and emerging technologies to ensure effective targeting in complex threat environments and to maximize weapon system capabilities.
  • You will guide N31 analysts through coordinating TLAM and HSW mission planning with Joint Staff personnel, Combatant Commanders (CCDRs), and other defense agencies.
  • You will ensure analysts understand how to review target lists, verify compliance with rules of engagement (ROE), and adhere to international laws such as the Laws of Armed Conflict (LOAC).
  • You will teach the Joint Targeting process, including advanced target development, so analysts can assess weapon effectiveness by considering missile performance, warhead effects, delivery tactics, and target characteristics.
  • You will establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with senior officials of command, agencies, and activities external to Cruise Missile Support Activity (CMSA).
  • You will attend technical exchanges and working groups to discuss functionality and utility of upgrades while providing appropriate constructive feedback to improve systems and processes.
